This has been such a pleasant surprise. It provides an enjoyable, but exhaustive treatment of the development of modern football formations and tactics. It was a joy to read.

I have never read another book like this one. It goes in depth in why we, as football players, are doing what we are doing now. It is very interesting to see the progression of formations. There is some formations that are still around today that have been used for 80 years. If you love football, then you will find this book very interesting.
