George Best – The Best Footballer In The World
George Best was born in East Belfast on 22nd May 1946. From a young age his parents recognised George’s love for football. His mother said: ‘with George it was always the ball!’
At 11 years of age he won a scholarship to the local grammar school Grosvenor High where, unfortunately for George, rugby was the only sport on the curriculum. George hated not being able to play football and so began to skip school so that he could play. He was caught out, with the result that both his parents and the school decided that George would be better off going to Lisnasharragh Secondary, where he could play football.
George very quickly made his mark, and realised it quite quickly too. He was discovered by Bob Bishop when he was just 15 and was signed up Joe Armstrong in 1961, making his debut for Manchester United in 1963. When he started out he was very homesick for his hometown of Belfast and so after playing his first match went back for Christmas. The club rang him up asking him to play against Burnley who had beaten them on Boxing Day. George, having only played one professional game at this point agreed to come back but only if they would fly him back to Belfast straight after the game. The club agreed and didn’t regret it as he scored his first goal and United overturned their previous defeat.

Recruited For Scholarships – College Football Scholarship
Whether it’s for education, prestige or just to have fun, everyone wants to go to college. Unfortunately, not all of them are lucky enough to get into one. It could either be due to their grades or they just couldn’t afford the cost of paying the tuition. Fortunately, most colleges are offering scholarships to deserving students. One such scholarship is a college football scholarship.
Football has become America’s national sport. Perhaps the only one that could probably compete for this title is basketball. Because of this, most colleges are willing to invest in their football players in the form of tuition fee grants.

5 Steps to Improve Your Football Coaching
Your football coaching skills can be improved in many of ways. Autobiographies of renowned players and managers, dedicated football coaching books, football magazines, and watching football on TV can be beneficial, but for a coach, they are not always convenient methods to explain techniques or tactics when the whole team is trying to watch the screen, or read a book.
Online training courses are designed to provide you with the football techniques and coaching skills you need in order to help your players to progress. Utilising video clips, and other tried and tested methods, you can follow the training programmes that other teams use, and gain more knowledge about soccer coaching. If you are serious about becoming a football coach, perhaps you will decide to embark on a nationally recognised football coaching qualification.
